The best resource we have available to those seeking to improve their diving skills are the Maya Palms instructors. Doug andCathy Georgens, the owner-operators of this resort, have been in the diving business since 1960 when they opened their first dive shop-it is possible that your dive will be led by Doug orCathy personally! You can find many features about these lifelong adventurers in respected media such as National Geographic, People Magazine, History Channel, Discovery Channel and in episodes of Jacques Cousteau's highly acclaimed dive series from the 1980s. Many of our Dive Masters received training and gained experience as Dive Masters at our Bonne Terre Mines "Deep Earth Diving" resort, near St. Louis, Missouri. Leading dives in this underground open water lake has made our Instructors some of the best in the business. Our experienced Captains ensure that our boats are always safe and efficient. Our instructors take their job seriously and you will be trained in a professional manner in accordance with the PADI requirements.
